How to successfully grow your own magic mushrooms?
Temperature and humidity are the secret ingredients to rewarding mushroom growth. Most cubensis strains need a consistent temperature of around 75F. You’ll know that your temperature is suboptimal when your mushrooms are not growing or growing slowly.
We recommend storing your grow kit in a closet or a corner that gets only a small amount of sunlight. In nature, mushrooms grow in moist, mostly dark forest floors. Direct sunlight for long periods will seriously limit your yields. Mushrooms are not flowers or herbs!
When harvesting, wear gloves or wash your hands. Pick the mushrooms before they have opened their tops. It’s better to pick them a little too soon than a little too late. Once they’ve fully opened, they’ll release their spores and spray your lean white substrate with a sort of black dust. Mushrooms that release their spores are known to be less potent.
